We propose an experimentally accessible, objective measure for themacroscopicity of superposition states in mechanical quantum systems. Based onthe observable consequences of a minimal, macrorealist extension of quantummechanics, it allows one to quantify the degree of macroscopicity achieved indifferent experiments.
