Ground state structures of finite, cylindrically confined two-dimensionalYukawa systems composed of charged superparamagnetic dust grains in an externalmagnetic field are investigated numerically, using molecular dynamicsimulations and lattice summation methods. The ground state configuration ofthe system is identified using, as an approximation, the experimentallyobtained shape of the horizontal confinement potential in a classical singlelayer dusty plasma experiment with non-magnetic grains. Results are presentedfor the dependence of the number density and lattice parameters of the dustlayer on (1) the ratio of the magnetic dipole-dipole force to electrostaticforce between the grains and (2) the orientation of the grain magnetic momentwith respect to the layer.
