Several possibilities to relate the $t$-dependence of Generalized PartonDistributions (GPDs) to the distribution of angular momentum in the transverseplane are discussed. Using a simple spectator model we demonstrate that non ofthem correctly describes the orbital angular momentum distribution that for alongitudinally polarized nucleon obtained directly from light-frontwavefunctions.
