We propose to study at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) the inclusiveproduction of a pair of hadrons (a "di-hadron" system) in a kinematics wheretwo detected hadrons with high transverse momenta are separated by a largeinterval of rapidity. This process has much in common with the widely discussedMueller-Navelet jet production and can also be used to access the dynamics ofhard proton-parton interactions in the Regge limit. For both processes largecontributions enhanced by logarithms of energy can be resummed in perturbationtheory within the Balitsky-Fadin-Kuraev-Lipatov (BFKL) formalism withnext-to-leading logarithmic accuracy (NLA). The experimental study of di-hadronproduction would provide with an additional clear channel to test the BFKLdynamics. We present here the first theoretical predictions for cross sectionsand azimuthal angle correlations of the di-hadrons produced with LHCkinematics.

High-Energy Resummation in Di-hadron Production at the LHC
