Within the QCD factorization approach, we calculate the branching fractionsand $CP$ asymmetry parameters of 12 $B \to K_0^*(1430)K^{(*)}$ decay modesunder the assumption that the scalar meson $K_0^*(1430)$ is the first excitedstate or the lowest lying ground state in the quark model. We find that thedecay modes with the scalar meson emitted, have large branching fractions dueto the enhancement of large chiral factor $r_\chi^{K_0^*}$. The branchingfractions of decays with the vector meson emitted, become much smaller owing tothe smaller factor $r_\chi^{K^*}$. Moreover, the annihilation type diagram willinduce large uncertainties because of the extra free parameter dealing with theendpoint singularity. For the pure annihilation type decays, our predictionsare smaller than that from PQCD approach by 2-3 orders of magnitudes. Theseresults will be tested by the ongoing LHCb experiment, forthcoming Belle-IIexperiment and the proposing circular electron-positron collider.
