We calculate the multi-photon decay widths of the Higgs boson from aneffective Lagrangian for a system of electromagnetic and Higgs fields. Weutilize a low-energy theorem to connect the above Lagrangian to theHeisenberg-Euler effective Lagrangian induced by charged particles that gainmass from interactions with the Higgs boson. In the standard model only theW^\pm gauge bosons and the top quark are relevant, and we compute theircontributions to the effective couplings and the multi-photon decay widths ofthe Higgs boson.
