Lattice simulations on SU(2) and SU(3) gauge theories with matter fields inthe fundamental, adjoint and two index symmetric representations are needed todetermine if these theories are near or within the conformal window as requiredfor their applications in beyond standard model phenomenology. Simulations withWilson fermion action are subject to artifacts linear in the lattice spacing$a$, and must be improved. We provide the necessary coefficients forperturbative improvement of the boundary terms when using Schrodingerfunctional boundary conditions and furthermore show that correctly implementedO(a) improved actions are necessary for reliable results.
