We study the effect of the cosmological constant $\Lambda$ on the bending oflight by a concentrated spherically symmetric mass. Contrarily to previousclaims, we show that when the Schwarzschild-de Sitter geometry is taken intoaccount, $\Lambda$ does indeed contribute to the bending.
