We examine the effect of the Z-boson transverse momentum distributionmeasured at the Run-1 of the Tevatron on the nonperturbative function of theCollins-Soper-Sterman (CSS) formalism, which resums large logarithmic termsfrom multiple soft gluon emission in hadron collisions. The inclusion of theTevatron Run-1 Z-boson data strongly favors a Gaussian form of the CSSnonperturbative function, when combined with the other low energy Drell-Yandata in a global fit.Comment: Published version; minor modifications, three references added; 19  pages, 7 figure
