The cosmic microwave anisotropies in a scenario of large scale structureformation with cold dark matter and texture are discussed and compared withrecent observational results of the COBE satellite. A couple of importantstatistical parameters are determined. The fluctuations are slightly nongaussian. The quadrupole anisotropy is $1.5\pm 1.2\times 10^{-5}$ and thefluctuations on a angular scale of 10 degrees are $ (3.8\pm 2.6)\times10^{-5}$. The COBE are within about one standard deviation of the typicaltexture + CDM model discussed in this paper. Furthermore, we calculatefluctuations on intermediate scales (about 2 degrees) with the result $\DeT/T(\theta \sim 2^o) = 3.9\pm 0.8)\times 10^{-5}$. Collapsing textures aremodeled by spherically symmetric field configurations. This leads touncertainties of about a factor of~2.Comment: 16p, LaTex, ZU-TH 32/9
