The Peierls-Yoccoz projection method is used to study the motion of arelativistic system of nucleons interacting with sigma and omega mesons. Thenuclear system is described in a mean-field Hartree approach, includingexplicitly the meson contribution and the formalism is applied to some selectedN=Z spherical nuclei. The center-of-mass motion correction makes the system toomuch bounded, but we show that an appropriate refitting of the model brings theradii and binding energies close to the experimental values.
