We investigate the formation cross sections of the deeply bound pionic atomson halo nuclei theoretically. We consider one-neutron pick-up (d,3He) reactionfor the pionic atom formation and find that the formation rate is significantlyincreased by the existence of the halo neutron with long tail of the wavefunction. This enhancement is expected to increase the experimental feasibilityfor the formation of the deeply bound pionic states on beta-unstable nuclei.Comment: 6 figure
