Several observables in two-body deuteron photodisintegration are investigatedin the framework of the Bethe-Salpeter formalism. Apart from keeping throughoutLorentz covariance, a special attention is paid to inclusion of both thepositive energy and negative energy partial-wave components of the deuteronstate. Using the Bethe-Salpeter equation for deuteron in the ladderapproximation with one-boson exchanges as a driving force, the contribution ofthe negative energy states is studied for the unpolarized differential cross aswell as the linear photon and tensor target asymmetries. These states are foundto have an impact on the observables and, thus, should be taken into account ina complete theoretical development of the reaction in the intermediate energyregime.Comment: 12 pages, 3 figures, 1 table; ReVTeX
