A simple model, describing the dynamics of the non-equilibrium pseudospin ofa homogeneous Bose-Einstein condensate of exciton polaritons, has beenformulated. It explains the suppression of spin splitting of a non-equilibriumpolariton condensate in an external magnetic field, the optical alignment, andthe conversion of alignment into orientation of polaritons. It has been shownthat inverse effects are possible, to wit, the spontaneous circularpolarization and the enhancement of spin splitting of a non-equilibriumcondensate of polaritons in the absence of external field.
