The non-equilibrium relaxational properties of a three dimensional Coulombglass model are investigated by kinetic Monte Carlo simulations. Our resultssuggest a transition from stationary to non-stationary dynamics at theequilibrium glass transition temperature of the system. Below the transitionthe dynamic correlation functions loose time translation invariance andelectron diffusion is anomalous. Two groups of carriers can be identified ateach time scale, electrons whose motion is diffusive within a selected timewindow and electrons that during the same time interval remain confined insmall regions in space. During the relaxation that follows a temperature quenchan exchange of electrons between these two groups takes place and thenon-equilibrium excess of diffusive electrons initially present decreaseslogarithmically with time as the system relaxes. This bimodal dynamicalheterogeneity persists at higher temperatures when time translation invarianceis restored and electron diffusion is normal. The occupancy of the twodynamical modes is then stationary and its temperature dependence reflects acrossover between a low-temperature regime with a high concentration ofelectrons forming fluctuating dipoles and a high-temperature regime in whichthe concentration of diffusive electrons is high.Comment: 10 pages, 9 figure
