X-ray fluorescence holography (XFH) is a method for obtainingdiffraction-limited images of the local atomic structure around a given type ofemitter. The reconstructed wave-field represents a distorted image of thescatterer electron density distribution; {\it i.e.} it is a convolution of thecharge density distribution with a point spread function characteristic of themeasurement. We here consider several methods for the iterative deconvolutionof such XFH holograms, and via theoretical simulations evaluate them from thepoint of view of going beyond the diffraction limit so as to image the electroncharge density. Promising results for future applications are found for certainmethods, and other possible image-enhancement techniques are also discussed.Comment: 8 pages, 5 figures, submitte
