We deduce a model relevant for the description of the ferromagnetichalf-metal Chromium dioxide ($CrO_{2}$), widely used in magnetic recordingtechnology. The model describes the effect of dynamical, local orbitalcorrelations arising from local quantum chemistry of the material. A finitetemperature solution of the model in $d=\infty$ provides a natural explanationof the optical response, photoemission, resistivity and the large Woods-Saxonratio observed in experiments. Our study confirms the important role of manybody dynamical correlation effects for a proper understanding of the metallicphase of $CrO_{2}$.Comment: 5 pages, 3 figures, submitted to PR
