The influence of Coulomb interaction on transport properties of spinlesselectrons in small disordered two dimensional systems is studied within a tightbinding model. Spatial correlations, inverse participation ratio, andmultifractal spectrum of the zero temperature local tunneling amplitude as wellas the DC Kubo conductance are traced as function of the interaction strength$U$. When $U$ is increased, all of the above quantities are shifted rathersmoothly towards localized behavior, indicating the absence of an interactiondriven insulator-metal transition.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figures, accepted for publication in PR
