We show the existence of non-Hermitian degeneracies, known as exceptionalpoints, in the collective mode spectrum of Fermi liquids with quadrupolarinteractions. Through a careful analysis of the analytic properties of thedynamic quadrupolar susceptibility, we show that, in the weak attractiveregion, two stable collective modes coalesce to an exceptional point. Wecompletely characterize this singularity, explicitly showing its topologicalproperties. Experimental signatures are also discussed.
