We study Friedel oscillations and screening effects of the impurity potentialin the Hubbard model. Electronic correlations are accounted for by solving thereal-space dynamical mean-field theory equations using the continuous timequantum Monte-Carlo simulations at finite temperatures and using a homogeneousself-energy approximation with the numerical renormalization group at zerotemperature. We find that in the Fermi liquid phase both the amplitudes ofFriedel oscillations and the screening charge decrease with increasing theinteraction and follow the behavior of the Fermi liquid renormalization factor.Inside the Mott insulator regime the Friedel oscillations are absent but theresidual screening charge remains finite.
