We present a method for measuring atomic parity violation in the absence ofstatic external electric and magnetic fields. Such measurements can be achievedby observing the interference of parity conserving and parity violatingtwo-photon transition amplitudes between energy eigenstates of zero electronicangular momentum. General expressions for induced two-photon transitionamplitudes are derived. The signal-to-noise ratio of a two-photon scheme usingthe 6s^2 1S0 to 6s6p 3P0 transition in ytterbium is estimated.
