The hydrodynamics of quantized vortices and solitons in an atomicBose-Einstein condensate excited by an oscillating potential are studied bynumerically solving the two-dimensional Gross-Pitaevskii equation. Theoscillating potential keeps nucleating vortex dipoles, whose impulsesalternatively change their direction synchronously with the oscillation of thepotential. This leads to synergy dynamics of vortices and solitons which havenot been previously reported in quantum fluids.
