We investigate theoretically the interaction of dark solitons in materialswith a spatially nonlocal nonlinearity. In particular we do this analyticallyand for arbitrary degree of nonlocality. We employ the variational technique toshow that nonlocality induces an attractive force in the otherwise repulsivesoliton interaction.
