In this paper we describe and discuss four new band systems which end on the lowest triplet state 2p 3 Π of H2 . The upper states are all new and it is impossible at this stage to settle their electronic configurations with complete definiteness so we call them provisionally3 A,3 B, C and3 G.3 A has a Rydberg denominator just under 4 and a fairly regular rotational and vibrational structure as H2 molecules go; it has, however, some peculiar features which make the interpretation of its electronic structure difficult.3 G is a3 Σg or a3 Πag state with a denominator almost exactly 5 and it is practically certain that it is either 1sσ 5dσ 3 Σg or 1sσ 5gπ 3 Πag . The denominator of3 C is about 4.93. It is an even ∆b or possibly Πb state with pronounced uncoupling and is most probably 1sσ 5dδ 3 ∆b or 1sσ 5dπ 3 Πb .3 B has a denominator close to 4.63. It is unlikely that it is any orthodox state with a single excited electron. It is probably the analogue in the triplet systems of one of the numerous "abnormal" singlet states1 K,1 L,1 M,1 N, etc. The form of the tables and the notations used are the same as in our previous paper, Part I.
