As a result of a further examination of this spectrum we have found a number of new bands and band systems ending on the lowest triplet state 2p 3 IIab which, collected together, form a considerable aggregate. They include:— (a ) Extensions of the 4d 3 ƩII ∆ complex → 2p 3 II systems:— (1) The discovery of the 4d 3 ∆a level which Richardson and Davidson were unable to find. (2) The substitution of newv' = 2 and 3 levels in 4d 3 IIb for the levels given by Richardson and Davidson which were regarded by them as dubious. (3) The non-diagonal lines of 4d 3 Ʃ, IIb , IIa and ∆b → 2p 3 II.
