This study assessed the feasibility of replacing intravenous (i.v.) dalteparin with the direct thrombin inhibitor (DTI) melagatran administered via dialysis fluid in patients undergoing haemodialysis, and also examined the pharmacokinetics of melagatran with and without dialysis.
