Phytotoxicity tests were conducted on 6 species of plants with 3 rates of fenpropathrin, 0.075, 0.10 and 0.40 lb ai/100 gal. The material was applied to runoff with a hand gun operating from a 2.5 gpm piston pump at 125 psi with a 5003 nozzle. Plants were sprayed under shade cloth in early morning at a cooperating nursery on May 31, Jul 6, Sep 7. Each dosage was applied to three 3-gal containers; a water check consisted of an equal number of plants. After spraying, plants were left on location at the nursery. Phytotoxicity readings were made weekly after pesticide application.
