‘Funk’s G522DR’ was planted on Sep 7 following sweet corn in a Cecil loamy clay soil type in Pike Co, GA. Plots were 6.1 m x 6 rows (91-cm row spacing) and were separated by 1 untreated row and 1-m alleys. Insecticides were applied over the rows on Oct 10 with a CO2 backpack sprayer calibrated to deliver 560 1/ha at 2.0-2.2 kg/cm2. Larval density was determined before treatment and 1, 2 and 7 days after treatment by visually inspecting 10 randomly selected plants removed from each plot. Treatments were replicated 4 times in a completely random experimental design.
