Bedford variety was planted ca Jun 15 in a silt loam soil on the University of Missouri Lee Farm near PortageviIle, M0. Eight row plots, 25 ft long, were replicated 4 times in a randomized complete block design. Insecticides were applied Sep 16 at a rate of 5 gal/acre, 40 psi, 1 nozzle/row with a Hahn high-clearance sprayer. Four m of row was sampled (drop cloth method) at 24 and 48 hr post-treatment.
