Rhododendrons in a heavily infested landscape situation were selected for this trial on the basis of substantial previous-year damage. There were four single-plant replicates per treatment in a completely randomized design. Treatment dates were June 14, July 7, Aug 11, and Sept 16'77. Sprays were applied to runoff with a hand-pumped compressed air sprayer and granules were applied by shaker onto a 9 sq ft area around the plant.
