Eleven treatments were applied to 'Lemon Drop' marigolds at the Federated Church, West Lafayette, Indiana on July 3'79. Foliar application were made with a B &amp; G stainless steel sprayer operating at 30 psi. A randomized block design with 3 replicates was used. The temperature was 82°F at the time of application. Each plot consisted of an individual plant 8-10 inches high. One month after treatment on Aug 5th 5-6 inch foliage and flower samples were removed, bagged, taken to the laboratory and placed in a Berlese funnel. The thrips, aphids and mites collected were counted under a binocular microscope.
