A Mocap lOG-treated (8 lb ai/acre) field was made into flat beds then divided into plots 2-rows (6 ft) wide and 50-ft long, replicated 4 times in RCB. Insecticidal granules were broadcast over the beds by hand using a perforated can, and raised beds were formed with a ripper bedder thus incorporating the granules. Sweet potato vine cuttings were then transplanted one day later on Jul 12. Some plots also received granules broadcast by hand over the vines at root swelling on Aug 22. Plots were harvested on Nov 1 and 25 randomly selected roots per plot were examined for insect damage.
