The test was conducted on spinach planted Aug 25 in organic muck soil. Plots were single 40-ft rows with 2 replications in a randomized block design. Foliar treatments were applied through a CO2 pressurized knap-sack sprayer operated at 37 psi delivering 40 gallons/acre through 1 overhead nozzle/15 inch spaced row. Applications were made on Sep 12, 17, 21, 25 and 28. Evaluation was at harvest maturity on Oct 2. Twenty-five plants/replicate were examined for armyworm damage, and the total aphids on 5 leaves/plant from 10 random plants/replicate were counted.
