Cucumbers and squash were planted Jun 26’77 to a field of loamy sand that received 7 in. of rain and 6 in. of irrigation. Plots were single rows (6 ft row width) and were replicated 4x in randomized complete blocks. Sprays were applied Jul 1, 8, 15, 22, 27 using a 1-nozzle, hand held compression type sprayer at 30 psi and 50 gal/acre. Plots were evaluated Aug 2 by recording vegetable leafminer injury in 10 medium age leaves/plot. Five similar leaves were removed to the laboratory for microscopic examination of 2-spotted mites.
