The trial was conducted on soft white winter wheat grown on the Washington State Univ., Irr. Agric. Res. &amp; Ext. Center, Roza Farm, Prosser, WA. The liquid systemic insecticides were applied by micro-tube injection, with the tube orifice mounted inside the drill openers of the planter. The granular Disyston was applied through the cone planter with the seed. Plots were 4 × 15 ft (4 rows on 12 inch row spacing), replicated 5 times in a randomized complete block design. Plots were planted 2 Sep (seeding rate: 45 lb/acre). Treatments were evaluated at 19, 28, 39 and 47 DAT, based on aphids/tillers (20 tillers/plot sampled at random, field bagged, and subsequently transferred to a Berlese funnel to extract the aphids. Plots were harvested on 10-11 Aug using a Hege combine.
