Mite Control on Honeylocust, Ft. Collins, 1987

Plots were located at the Colorado State University Bay Farm in Ft. Collins in an established nursery honeylocust planting, 15-18 ft high. Plot design involved single trees, bordered by untreated trees, arranged in a randomized complete block with 5 replications. All treatments were applied with a hand-operated compressed-air sprayer to run-off Dormant oil applications were made during bud swell, 25 Apr. Other treatments were made to coincide with peak spider mite populations 17 Jul. Evaluations were made by counting mites on a 4-leaflet subsample from 5 leaves/plot.
