Mature arborvitae in Champaign, 111., were sprayed to control bagworm larvae 17 Jun with Dipel and Dylox and on 27 Jul with Dipel, Dylox, and Tempo. Insecticides were applied with a 3-gal hand-pressurized portable sprayer to the point of run-off. Larval mortality was recorded at 5 DAT, with 5 samples of 20 larvae taken for each treatment. Larval cases on 17 Jun (young larvae) were 3-6 mm long; larval cases on 27 Jul (older larvae) were 20-37 mm long.
