Evaluation of Cygon 4Ec for Aphid Control, 1986

Vegetative plants were grown single stem in Metro Mix 500 medium and maintained vithin a closed greenhouse where they were inoculated with aphids from a cultured colony. There were 3 plants per 6-inch pot, and 4 replicate pots per i reatment. A pre-treatment evaluation was made to determine the baseline number of live aphids on one stem per pot; these stems were tagged and used lor subsequent evaluations. Sprays were applied to the point of runoff with hand-held mist bottles. There were 2 applications with a 3-day interval; applications vere made on 22 Apr and 25 Apr immediately following the evaluations.
