‘Pioneer 3147’ corn was planted on 14 Jun at the Tobacco Experiment Station, Greeneville. Sixteen insecticide treatments were replicated 4 times in a randomized complete block design. Plots were 30 ft × 4 rows with 5-ft alleys between blocks. Rows were 38 inches apart with a population of 37 plants/30 row ft Insecticides were applied on 17 Jul when 94% of the plants were infested with an average of 3.45 larvae/plant. Liquid formulations were applied with a 2.5-gal compressed CO2 sprayers at 30 psi and 30 gal/acre. Granular insecticides were applied with shaker jars. Newly damaged whorls were counted on 31 Jul. Ensilage yield was measured on 8 Oct at 52.38% moisture.
