Treatments were applied on 2 Jul ‘85 to 44 to 48-inch center-pivot irrigated corn. Liquid treatments were applied with a CO2 sprayer calibrated to deliver 11.5 gal/acre at 30 psi through 2 nozzles S003) mounted on a 2.5-ft boom. Granules were applied through a gravity flow metering and spreading device. Plots were 2 50-ft rows separated With a single buffer row and arranged in a randomized complete block design. Treatments were evaluated on 25 Jul ‘85 by dissecting 10 plants Which showed leaf feeding damage per plot and counting the number of live 3rd-5th stage larvae and cavities per plant.
