Control of Army Worm in Barley, 1984

Plots were located on the Ponsford prairie 15 miles northwest of Park Rapids, MN in Becker county. Treatments were replicated 3 times and arranged in a randomized complete block design. Plots were 25 ft × 50 ft in size. Insecticides were applied in approximately 20 gal total material per acre using a hand held CO2 sprayer with 40 psi pressure. Application was 15 Jul ‘84 and oounts were taken 24 h posttreatment. Both living and dead larvae were counted in a band 6 inches wide from one corner to plot center.
