Each treatment consisted of two 30-ft rows replicated 4 times in a randomized complete block design. The plot was planted 18 Jul and later thinned to ca. 12 inches. Row spacing was 36 inches. Treatment applications were made 2 Oct using a CO2 powered backpack sprayer delivering 32 gpa through 1 nozzle/row. Counts were made 3 Oct by dissecting 3 heads/plot and counting GPA and CL.
