Two adjacent commercial fields, located near Benton Center, NY, were used for this test. One field was treated twice with EPN and once with Penncap-M while the other field was treated 3 times with Baythroid. A Grumman Air Cat, delivering 3 gal/acre, was used to apply 3 applications (23, 30 Aug and 7 Sep) of each treatment to the corn beginning in the green-tassel stage. Control was assessed by removing 100 randomly-selected ears from each field and examining them for injury and the presence of Lepidoptera.
