Tests were conducted on flowering Vanda ‘Miss Joaquim’ in Aug. Plants were field-grown on tree fern logs with 120 plants per treatment. Dursban 2E and 4E were applied as a foliar spray to runoff at 0.5, 1, and 2 lb(AI)/ 100 gal. Applications were made on 10 Aug, 16 Aug, 23 Aug with a compressed CO2 sprayer at 40 lb/in2 and equipped with an 8004 nozzle. During the test period, the avg max temp was 29°C and the avg min temp was 20°C. Plants and flowers were evaluated weekly for phytotoxicity and the damage rated on a scale of 0 (no damage) to 4 (severe damage).
