The test was conducted near Gallatin, Mo, on a pure stand of stubble alfalfa. Sprays were applied-on 18 Jul ’84 to 60 by 60 ft plots with 3 replications. Grasshopper composition was 90% differential grasshoppers. Sprays were applied at 16.5 gal/acre and 40 psi using 8002 flat fan nozzles on a 20-ft spray boom. Evaluations were made by taking twenty 180° sweeps with a 15-inch diam sweep net at 24 h, 5 and 13 days posttreatment. Conditions at treatment were 88° F with 3 mph winds. Data were transformed by X + 0.5. Means in the table are of actual counts.
