Results: Analyzing the MetS patients after subdividing them into the ACS group and the non-ACS group, it was found that the remodeling index of MetS patients was significantly lower comparing to that of non-MetS patients in the ACS group (0.980±0.142 vs 1.058±0.198, p=0.02) while the remodeling index of MetS patients was significantly higher comparing to that of non-MetS patients in the nonACS group (1.020±0.183 vs 0.953±0.162, p=0.049) (Fig. 1). Conclusion: There was a conflicting association of MetS with the remodeling index of culprit coronary arteries comparing the ACS and non-ACS patient. This suggests that MetS may affect coronary artery remodeling differently based on the systemic condition.
