miR-656 expression was downregulated in human glioma cells and tissues. It inhibited glioma cell tumorigenesis  in vitro  and  in vivo  by directly targeting BMPR1A and regulated the canonical/Smad and non-canonical/MAPK BMP-2 signaling pathways.
