Efficacy of standard and experimental insecticides was evaluated in a small-plot trial conducted at the St. Gabriel Research Station located near St. Gabriel, LA (Iberville Parish). Treatments were applied on 20 Aug to ‘DeltaPine 3478’ soybeans with a tractor-mounted, CO2-pressurized sprayer calibrated to deliver 15 gpa at 40 psi through TeeJet 8002 flat fan nozzles (2/row). Plots were 50 ft. X 4 rows (36-inch centers) and arranged in a RCBD with four replications. One 25-sweep sample/plot was taken with a standard 15-inch diameter sweep net at 2 and 5 DAT. On 21 Aug, the test received 1.52 inches of rainfall. Data were analyzed with ANOVA and means separated using Duncan’s New MRT (DNMRT).
