Control of Western Black Flea Beettle on Mustard Greens, 1997

This trial was conducted at the Horticulture Field Research Farm north of Ft. Collins, CO. Plots were established by transplanting, 4 June, “Green Wave” mustard to single 32-in rows, at 12-inch in-row spacing. Experimental design was a RCB, with 4 replications and individual plots consisted of two 15-ft rows. Treatments were first applied 14 Jun, using a CO2 compressed air sprayer delivering 18 gpa. A reapplication was made 17 Jun. Evaluations were made by counting all flea beetles on the center 4 plants from each row per plot (8 plants/plot total).
