‘Lady Bell’ seedlings were transplanted on 6 Jun at the University of Connecticut, Plant Science Research Farm in Storrs. Plots consisted of 5 plants, 1.5 ft apart, separated by a single untreated plant on each end. The treatment row was bordered on each side by guard rows, at four foot spacing. Three treatments were replicated three times in a randomized complete block design. Treatments consisted of an unsprayed control and applications of Ambush on 6, 12, 20 and 26 Aug, and two MVP applications per week on 6, 9, 12, 16, 20, 23, 26 and 31 Aug. Triton B-1956 Spreader Sticker (4 ounces per acre rate) was applied with the MVP and Ambush. Plots were sprayed from the top and sides with a CO2 backpack sprayer at 50 psi with 40 gallons of water per acre. Marketable fruit from all five plants per plot were harvested, counted, weighed and dissected to inspect for ECB larvae weekly, between 12 Aug and 2 Sep.
